ARLINGTON, Ohio (WLIO) — Arlington protected its home floor on Saturday night, using a strong second half to pull away from Spencerville for a 58–48 win in a non-conference matchup between a battle of the Blanchard Valley Conference and the Northwest Conference's bests.
Spencerville kept things close late in the first half behind the Sensabaugh brothers. Owen Sensabaugh knocked down a three-pointer in the closing moments before the break, finishing with 10 points for the Bearcats. Will Sensabaugh followed with a tough fadeaway jumper, part of his 18-point night.
Arlington responded after halftime and began to separate in the third quarter. Senior Ayden Cavinee buried a three-pointer to extend the Red Devils’ lead to 35–26 as Arlington started to gain control.
Moments later, 6-foot-10 senior Calvin Willow attacked the basket and converted an and-one, igniting the home crowd. Willow delivered a dominant performance, pouring in a game-high 35 points to lead Arlington down the stretch.
The Red Devils maintained their advantage in the fourth quarter and closed out the 10-point victory, improving to 12–3 on the season.
