Ottoville — After suffering their first loss of the season, Ottoville bounced back with a 1-0 victory over Bluffton, thanks to a late first-half strike from Ashton Miller.
The Big Green leaned on goalkeeper Chase Furley early, as he delivered back-to-back saves to keep the match scoreless. Bluffton nearly broke through when a long-range shot deflected off the crossbar, but Emmitt Kidd was there to deny Ottoville’s follow-up chance.
Just before halftime, Ottoville capitalized. A ball played into the box found Miller, who stayed onside and finished to give the Big Green a 1-0 lead.
That goal proved to be the difference, as Ottoville held strong defensively in the second half to secure the clean sheet.
The Big Green improve to 5-1, while Bluffton drops to 0-3-2.
