Crestview pulls away late to top Fort Jennings for seventh straight win in series

FORT JENNINGS — Crestview continued its recent run of success against Fort Jennings on Tuesday night, pulling away for a 52–44 win over the Musketeers. The victory marked the Knights’ seventh straight win over Fort Jennings.
The Musketeers struck first in the opening quarter when senior Sam Dube knocked down a three-pointer to put Fort Jennings on the board. Crestview answered on the other end as senior Hayden Perrott connected from deep. Perrott led the Knights with 15 points on the night.
Later in the quarter, Fort Jennings capitalized off a turnover, pushing the pace in transition. Senior Calvin Menke finished the break with a layup to give the Musketeers a two-point advantage.
Crestview began to take control as the game went on. Senior Liam Putman provided a steady presence inside, scoring efficiently from within the arc. Putman finished with 12 points as the Knights gradually created separation.
Crestview closed out the night with a 52–44 victory, extending its winning streak in the series against Fort Jennings.
