Elida earns first WBL win with 36-18 victory over Kenton

ELIDA, Ohio (WLIO) — Elida picked up its first Western Buckeye League win of the season Friday night, defeating Kenton 36-18.
The Wildcats struck first when Xavier Gammon found Zane Perkins on a quick pass, breaking a tackle for the touchdown.
The two-point attempt failed, giving Kenton a 6-0 lead. Elida responded with a pair of field goals from Isaac Jones, including a 42-yarder, to tie the game at 6.
The Bulldogs took the lead in the second half, punching in a short touchdown run to go up 13-6. From there, Elida pulled away.
Senior Cameron Kaufman capped off the scoring with a touchdown run, sealing the Bulldogs’ 36-18 win. The victory moves Elida to 1-2 in conference play.
