BATH, Ohio (WLIO) — Bath opened the game with a dominant start and never let up, rolling past Kenton 69-37 in a Battle of the Wildcats on Friday night.

The Wildcats in blue set the tone early as Logan Markley scored on a hook shot in the paint, followed by a 3-pointer from Daniel Cole to spark a 13-0 run to begin the game.

Cole, a junior, connected on another long-range shot moments later as Bath quickly took control.

Cole finished with 12 points, while Markley led all scorers with 14 as Bath continued to build separation throughout the first half.

Kenton, attempting to snap a three-game losing streak, found some offense when Junior Wright converted off an indirect pass to get the Wildcats on the board.

But Bath answered every attempt at a comeback with efficient scoring and steady defense.

The win gave Bath the upper hand in a series that has been evenly split since 2006, with each team previously claiming 11 victories.

Bath pulled away down the stretch to secure the 32-point victory on its home floor.
