Lima, OH — The Lima Junior Golf Association made its latest tour stop at Hidden Creek Golf Club for the Webb Insurance Open, where two champions emerged in impressive fashion.
On the girls side, Delphos native Brylee Geary claimed the top spot. The soon-to-be sophomore at Jefferson shot an 85, capping her round with a par on the 18th hole. Parkway graduate Shay Boroff earned a third-place finish, carding a solid round of 87.
In the boys division, Riverside’s Jaxon Woods topped the field with a one-under 71. The recent graduate sealed his victory with a par on 17 and a steady round throughout the day. Lehman Catholic’s Henry Petersen took runner-up honors at one over, while Allen East senior Levi Clum placed third after a strong showing that included a nearly holed birdie on 18.
Versailles graduate Ella Porter, who will play for Ohio Northern, also competed with the boys and sank a par putt on the 16th en route to a 93.
The tour continues Thursday at the Delphos Country Club.
