LIMA — Lima Senior capped off its Toledo City League championship season with a dominant 37-6 win over Scott on Friday night at Spartan Stadium.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Spartans’ defense took control. Carter Ruble intercepted a deep pass in the end zone to halt a potential Scott drive, setting up Lima Senior’s momentum shift. Moments later, senior Darvion Young jumped a route and took it all the way back for a pick-six, putting the Spartans on the board. Young then added the two-point conversion to make it 8-0.
On the ensuing kickoff, Quay Harris recovered a loose ball for Lima Senior, continuing the team’s strong defensive showing. The Spartans never looked back, cruising to a 37-6 victory to complete an unbeaten conference slate and close out the regular season on a high note.
