LIMA — Lima Senior volleyball left little doubt Tuesday night, rolling to a straight-set victory over Waite High School.
The Spartans opened strong in the first set, taking a commanding 25-4 win behind the play of Angela Kohlhofer, who powered through defenders at the net. Lima Senior kept the pressure on in the second set, with Talia Lawrence-Banks scoring from the far side and Kohlhofer adding a key block and an ace to stretch the lead. Jackie Waithe later capped the frame with a strong finish at the net, sealing a 25-10 win.
The momentum never wavered for the Spartans, who closed the night with a 25-6 third-set victory to complete the sweep.
Lima Senior’s mix of front-line strength and serving pressure proved too much for Waite, as the Spartans cruised to the three-set win at home.
