CELINA, OH — After a tough 8–1 loss in their last outing, the Grand Lake Mariners returned to the diamond determined to bounce back—and they did just that with a 5–2 win over the Muskegon Clippers.

Trailing 1–0 in the second, the Mariners strung together a pair of hits to right field—first from Nathan Jessup, followed by a hard-hit single from Austyn Peak.

That set the table with the bases loaded, and Samuel Reczek grounded into a fielder’s choice to bring home Sage Adams and tie the game.

On the mound, right-hander Alex Dicke stood tall. The 6-foot-5 pitcher got out of a jam with the bases loaded in the fifth by picking up his only strikeout of the night. Dicke threw five innings, facing 24 batters and allowing just one run.

The Mariners took control in the seventh inning, plating four runs to break the game open and pick up their seventh win of the season.
