MILLER CITY, Ohio (WLIO) — Miller City is moving on after defeating Perry in a Division VII sectional final.
The Wildcats set the tone early on their home floor. Senior Elizabeth Erford opened the scoring with a fast-break basket to give Miller City an early spark.
Moments later, the Wildcats turned defense into offense. Anna Lammers intercepted a pass and took it the other way for a layup as Miller City began to build momentum.
The Wildcats continued to push the pace. Erford found Kiera Ruhe streaking down the floor, and the senior finished at the rim to extend the advantage.
Miller City maintained control the rest of the way, securing the 64-3 win and earning the Division VII sectional championship.
Next up for the Wildcats will be a district semifinal game versus their PCL foe Continental on February 25 in Ottawa-Glandorf.
