Miller City scores six unanswered to top Bluffton on softball diamond

BLUFFTON (WLIO) — Miller City broke a tie early and handled the rest, defeating Bluffton 8-2 in non-league softball action.
The Wildcats took a 2-1 lead in the second inning when Lizzie Ellerbrock’s groundout brought home Kristen Dukes.
Bluffton answered back as Evelyn Boyles grounded out to third, allowing Macy Schaadt to score and even the game at 2-2.
From there, Miller City took control. Karlee Gilgenbach led the way in the circle with a complete game, striking out four while allowing two runs.
Miller City scored the game’s final runs to pull away and secure the win.
