Ottawa — The top-ranked team in Division V showed why it holds that spot Friday night, as Ottawa-Glandorf opened fast and pulled away for a 62–30 win over Kalida.

The Lady Titans set the tone immediately, scoring the first seven points of the game. Senior Karsyn Erford jump-started the run by jumping a passing lane, taking the steal coast to coast, and finishing through contact for an and-one. Erford converted the free throw to complete the three-point play and finished with 14 points.

Kalida answered with an and-one of its own, as junior Addilyn Huber cut backdoor for the finish and free throw. Huber led the Wildcats with 13 points, trimming the deficit early.

Later, with Kalida trailing by double digits, Kennedy Simon kept the Wildcats within striking distance by cleaning up an offensive rebound and putting it back up and in.

Ottawa-Glandorf, however, remained in control throughout. Alivia Grothause added to the Lady Titans’ advantage with a basket inside off a miss as the lead continued to grow.

By the final horn, Ottawa-Glandorf cruised to a 62–30 victory, staying perfect on the season.
