LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Lima Senior followed up its dominant performance against Woodward with another statement win, defeating Mansfield Senior 94-58 at Lima Gymnasium.
The Spartans wasted little time establishing control, sparked by a scorching first quarter from junior Shawn Foster. Foster scored 19 of Lima Senior’s first 26 points as the Spartans built an early cushion.
Senior Willie Foster, a Northern Kentucky University commit, added to the offensive surge with a step-back jumper, and ended his night with 10 points.
Mansfield Senior looked to respond in the second quarter, but Amari Addy drove the lane and found Deshad Greer for a layup. Then Addy pushed the tempo again moments later, setting up Shawn Foster for a two-handed dunk that brought the home crowd to its feet.
Shawn Foster remained the focal point throughout the night, finishing with a game-high 42 points. The performance also marked a milestone, as the junior reached the 1,000-point mark for his career with the Spartans.
With the win, Lima Senior is now 9-1 on the season.
