LIMA, Ohio (WLIO)— One of downtown Lima's most popular events is returning this year with a new purpose.
Toast to the City will return as a fundraiser for the newly formed Lima Festivals and Amphitheater Alliance. The event will be held at the Pangle Pavilion at the Greater Lima Region Park and Amphitheater and will feature an evening of food, entertainment and community fellowship while celebrating the heart of downtown Lima.
Organizers say the event is designed to showcase the city and support continued investment in downtown attractions and entertainment opportunities.
"Just really to showcase Lima, to really support all of the money that's been put into downtown Lima, specifically with the Pangle Pavilion, to support the concerts, to support the entertainment, really just support the arts in the city and people are coming back downtown," said Tara Shepherd of the Toast to the City Planning Committee.
The event will also include a live auction featuring dozens of items, including downtown Lima experience packages.
Tickets for Toast to the City are available now through the Lima Festivals and Amphitheater Alliance website.
