Findlay (BCSN) - Findlay picked up its second win of the season Friday night, defeating Springfield 28-7 at home. The Trojans improved to 2-1 following last week’s 17-7 victory over Lima Senior.
Quarterback Miles Bailey set the tone early, powering up the middle for a rushing touchdown that gave Findlay a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.
Springfield looked to respond when Logan Goodrick connected with Richard Wright, who broke tackles and picked up 15 yards for a first down. But the Blue Devils couldn’t capitalize.
The Trojans extended their lead later in the quarter when Shawn Hines II fielded a punt and sprinted 58 yards down the sideline for a touchdown.
Findlay’s defense held Springfield in check the rest of the way, sealing a 28-7 victory and marking back-to-back wins for the Trojans.
