OTTOVILLE (WLIO) — The Lady Green kept their momentum rolling with a straight-sets win over Temple Christian, improving to 9-4 on the season.
Temple Christian struck first in the opening set as sophomore Addison Rager delivered an ace to put the Pioneers ahead by one. But Ottoville quickly responded, with Jenna Suever powering through three defenders for a kill to help her team build a 12-6 advantage.
The Lady Green continued to control the net as Vanessa Hilvers set up Addie Miller for a key strike, stretching the lead to 17-12. Temple Christian battled back behind Na’Talya Wilson, who placed a shot perfectly in the back corner, but the Lady Pioneers couldn’t close the gap.
Ottoville closed out the match behind the steady play of senior Kendall Schnipke, who added a late kill to secure the sweep. The Lady Green took the sets 25-19, 25-18, and 25-16.
The win adds to Ottoville’s strong start, while Temple Christian drops to 3-6.
