MEDIA RELEASE FROM MARYSVILLE OHIO STATE HIGHWAY PATROL POST
RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, LOGAN COUNTY OHIO – The Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a single vehicle injury crash that occurred on June 13, 2024 at approximately 7:34 PM on SR 117.
A 2015 Chrysler Town & Country operated by Sean Smith, 39 of Lima was traveling north bound on SR 117, when he went off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Mr. Smith along with the juvenile occupant were transported by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital and Dayton Children’s Hospital both non-life-threatening injuries. Ms. Shantia Coles, 37, along with another juvenile who were both occupants of the vehicle were transported by Indian Lake EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol were assisted at the scene by CareFli ght, Indian Lake EMS, Huntsville Fire and EMS, Richland Township Fire Department, and Tanner’s Towing.
Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor, and all occupants were found to be wearing a properly adjusted seat belt and in child safety seats.
