Four people from Lima have been indicted in Toledo Federal Court on human trafficking charges.
According to the task force 30 year old Lorenzo Young, 26 year old Randy Thompson, 34 year old Aundre Davis, and 19 year old Precious Russell, all from Lima, and 28 year old Megan Hitt from Fort Wayne were named in the indictment.
Young and Davis initially appeared in Allen County Court before the cases were moved to Federal Court in Toledo. Charges include sex trafficking of a minor and participation in child exploitation, among other charges.
LPD Officer George Caldwell says they started the investigation in November of 2015 and recovered two underage girls at 14 and 16 years old. Caldwell says it's possible there are more suspects and victims, and if you see something, say something.
Caldwell says both girls are back with their families now. He says some charges in the case carry a minimum of 20 years to life sentence, and the investigation is on-going.
