West Central Ohio got a blast of winter Sunday, and plow drivers were busy all day clearing snow and spreading salt. Street crews for the City of Lima have been hard at work since the first snowflake started to fall Sunday morning and will be working throughout the night until Monday morning. Six trucks have been traveling through all parts of the city working on the streets, but they are asking motorists and residents to help them out and give them the space to work.
“Everything is melting off really good, the only thing we ask that you give us our space and make sure that we can get down your street, not to park right besides each other so our plows can get in,” says Eric Beebe, City of Lima’s Street Supervisor.
But it wasn't just all work out there Sunday, kids of all ages headed down to Faurot Park to tackle sled hill. The snow was the right constancy to build up some speed, and then afterwards they warmed up by the fire in the shelter house.
