The Allen County Agricultural Society’s Board of Directors met Wednesday for their monthly meeting and are still looking for a new fairgrounds manager.
Chad Hughes, the former promotions and operations manager had his last day working the position on May 30th and that position has remained unoccupied for the past seven and a half months. The board has been accepting applications for the position and closed them on January 10th. They received 10 applications, hoping for someone with experience with contracts and general day-to-day operations.
Brian Langhals, President of the Allen County Agricultural Society said, “I think we have 5 to 6 good candidates at this point in time that we are going to start interviewing.”
They hope to have someone prepared to be put in front of the board by the next meeting on February 16th.
