Area children service agencies coming together to focus on the positives of their jobs and honor those who have gone above and beyond to help children in Allen County.
It was the annual Community for Kids Breakfast hosted by the Allen County Department of Children Services. Juvenile Judge Todd Kohlrieser was the keynote speaker and was asked to inspire those attending. A big task he says as we spend many of our days seeing the worst in people. He asked everyone to do three things each day that he says can make a difference.
Judge Todd Kohlierser explains,” I think if everybody in the community actually listens, concentrates, and does their best, no matter what the situation is, no matter what they do, I think they’ll be a better person and I think the community will be that much better because of it.”
The “Friend of Children” Awards were given to the Lima Exchange Club, the late Ericka Boddie who was a supervisor at Allen County Children Services, and Allen County Schools.
