LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Game show enthusiasts filled downtown Lima Thursday night for an evening of fun and a chance to win big.
Downtown Lima Inc.’s “Game Show Extravaganza” drew large crowds into the Lima Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center. Guests entered for a chance to participate in classic editions of favorite game shows like “The Price Is Right” and “The $100,000 Pyramid,” with dreams of winning prizes. The event also raised funds to support downtown revitalization efforts. In between games, a couple of contestants spoke with WLIO about the event.
"I think it's really important that all of the advancements and new things that we have in Downtown Lima. It's fun to have that community feel, so I'd love to see more of that," says Jenelle Acheson, attending the Game Show Extravaganza.
"And I agree with what she said, but I also feel like, like Heaphy's done a lot of things around town and they're trying to get more community and a better downtown area where you feel comfortable and come down and have a good time," says Ashley Dellenbaugh, attending the Game Show Extravaganza.
There were more than $10,000 in prizes up for grabs.
