ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - Meetings with Allen County Commissioners and department heads are underway looking at the 2025 budget.
The 2024 budget was around 37 million dollars, and it's now time to evaluate the numbers for next year's requests.
This year, commissioners have made the in-person meetings with the department heads optional, and they have 15 scheduled meetings out of about 30 departments. Each of them submitted their requests for 2025, with increases in staffing lines being seen across the board.
Commissioners hope to have a draft budget by mid-December.
