Some students join extracurricular sports to exercise their bodies on a field or a court. Others exercise their brain back in the classrooms after school. Students gathered at Lima Central Catholic High School to participate in the final tournament round of the Allen County Academic Quiz Bowl.
Eleven Allen County high schools met up to put their knowledge to the test. This gives student the chance to compete in a friendly environment while representing their schools.
Quiz Bowl Coordinator, Tami Thomas, says "Quiz Bowl is a chance for the kids who seem to retain a lot of knowledge and just enjoy seeking knowledge." She adds that, "Not every student is an athlete, but Quiz Bowl gives them a chance to be a part of a team that is just as important."
