LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Families looking to save money on back-to-school shopping will have the chance to find affordable children's items at the Lima Family YMCA's annual Mom to Mom Sale this weekend.
The event has become a popular tradition for area families seeking gently used clothing, toys and other children's necessities before the start of the school year.
Those interested in selling items still have time to reserve booth space. Vendors can purchase a booth for $25, which includes three tables to display their merchandise.
Shoppers can browse a variety of gently used items for a $1 admission fee. In addition to clothing, the sale features toys, baby gear and other family-related items.
"The purpose of Mom to Mom is really just to share what you aren't using anymore with people who may need that. It brings in lots of people, like I said, grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, children. It's just a thing that we love to do with the Y," said Carrie Donaldson of the Lima YMCA membership department.
The deadline to reserve booth space is Friday, July 31. The Mom to Mom Sale will be held Saturday, Aug. 1, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Lima Family YMCA gymnasium.
