AMERICAN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WLIO) – An American Township home was destroyed in an early Tuesday morning fire.
Firefighters were called to 4865 Dutch Hollow Road around 12:30 a.m. for a home that was fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters from departments in Allen, Putnam and Van Wert counties were called in to provide mutual aid and water to help bring the blaze under control. The home was not occupied, but all the utilities were connected. The cause of the fire remains undetermined, and the home is a total loss.
