BLUFFTON, Ohio (WLIO) – The Bluffton Senior Citizens Center is holding its annual Christmas garage sale.
The sale features donated Christmas items such as wreaths, lights and decorations. Money raised from the event will help support the center’s operating costs. Director Tonya Meyer says it’s a great stop for shoppers looking for holiday bargains, and for seniors, it’s also a way to give back.
“As seniors downsize, one of the first things they get rid of is decorations,” Meyer said. “We have a regular garage sale at the end of March, where we have all sorts of housewares, antiques, tools and toys. But nobody wants to buy Christmas in March. So we have a Christmas garage sale where we get rid of all of our Christmas donations — lots of wreaths, lights and decorations.”
The sale runs through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center.
