LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - People were swinging and grooving in Lincoln Park as the first night of the Lincoln Park Dances brought residents out to show off their best moves.
Friday's music was performed by Exploit Trio, joined by Chuck Sommers, featuring a lively mix of pop, classic rock, and Motown hits. Couples and dance partners took to the floor, enjoying the chance to boogie with their loved ones. The variety of bands and musical styles continues to draw people back week after week, creating a welcoming environment for dancers of all backgrounds.

"Seeing all the people coming out and then enjoying their self," said Bev Hicks, one of the dance participants. "Most of these people We've danced with other places, other other halls, dance halls and whatever, for a lot of years. It's really a great, great opportunity to just meet a lot of people. Believe it or not, it seems as though that the older groups are the only ones that's maintaining this dancing," said Les Dunlap, another dance participant.
They encourage people of all ages to join them on the dance floor. The Lincoln Park Dances are held every Friday through Aug. 15 and are free of charge.
