DELPHOS, Ohio (WLIO) - The Delphos Farmers Market and Business Block Party returned to town Wednesday afternoon, offering a vibrant mix of local goods, family fun, and a focus on community wellness.
Vendors lined the area with a variety of products, from honey and flower bouquets to pork rinds. Meanwhile, businesses along and around Main Street hosted games, raffles, and giveaways for visitors. This market event also spotlighted health and wellness, inviting local health professionals to share information on available services in the community.
"Our key focus at the market is to provide access to nutritious food. Also provide access to overall wellness. And community engagement is our number one. So we incorporate it all in one during the Health and Wellness Expo, and we have our business professionals over in the grass part of the lot providing services, providing information on services of what's available right here in the Delphos community," said Lindsey Lane, executive director with the Delphos Area Chamber of Commerce.
"We've been having a lot of discussions today about preventative health. Letting people know that physical therapy isn't reactive. We don't have to wait to have a surgery, wait to have a ton of pain. We can get you in on a monthly basis, or we could get ahead of pain and injuries and really push your health and fitness forward," said Shayna Temple, owner of RuralRX Performance Physical Therapy.
The next Farmers Market is scheduled for July 24 and will feature the "Kids in Biz" expo, highlighting local young entrepreneurs.
