DELPHOS, Ohio — Fire crews in Delphos were called to a fire in a grain dryer earlier Monday.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
According to fire officials, crews responded to Bunge Ag in the 200 block of South Jefferson Street around 4:40 p.m. Upon opening the dryer, they found heavy smoke coming from soybeans. Firefighters had to shovel out hundreds of soybeans before discovering the fire and working to extinguish the flames. They remained on scene for several hours. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. This is the second fire at the Bunge Ag location this year.
