LIMA, Ohio (WLIO)— Local Democrats rallied in Faurot Park in protest of Vice President Vance's Lima visit.

The event, organized by the Allen County Democratic Party, brought together people from across the area. Their speakers highlighted issues like the rollback of constitutional rights, cuts to social services, and economic disparities.

"We knew that JD Vance was coming to town to speak, and we thought this was an ideal opportunity to show that there are plenty of people in Lima and the surrounding areas who do not support his or President Trump's current policies," said Lisa Robeson, vice chair of the Allen County Democratic Party.

The peaceful protest brought people together to express their views and participate in the conversation in Allen County.
