LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – With one more day remaining at the Allen County Fair, there is still plenty to see and do.
Fair officials say turnout for the 175th Allen County Fair has been strong, even with the hot weather at the start of the week. Gate admissions have been steady, and organizers say they are pleased with how the midway, barns, and grandstands have filled for events.
“The community has really showed up to support us this year, celebrating our 175th anniversary,” said Troy Elwer, promotions and operations manager. “I just want to thank each and every individual that’s made their way through our gates this year. From everything I can see in the midway each evening, we are very pleased with the traffic that we’ve been seeing.”
Tonight, the demolition derby will take place in the infield at 7 p.m. On Saturday night, a fireworks celebration will begin at dusk at the grandstand with free admission, wrapping up the 175th edition of the Allen County Fair.
