LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — A man facing charges in connection with a 2022 stabbing incident pleaded guilty Tuesday morning before his trial was scheduled to begin.
Juan Fuentes, 62, pleaded guilty to two counts of felonious assault with repeat violent offender specifications for injuring Catsonava Malloy during an argument in the 100 block of South Central Avenue in October 2022.
According to police, Fuentes used a box cutter to cut and stab Malloy, causing injuries to her neck and face.
After the incident, Fuentes fled the area and remained on the run until he was captured and arrested in Tampa, Florida, in August 2025.
Fuentes is scheduled to be sentenced Thursday, Jan. 29, in Allen County Common Pleas Court.
