LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The Lima Community Aquatic Park is preparing for its spring programming, offering a variety of activities for swimmers of all ages and skill levels.

Aquatic park leaders say participation remained steady throughout the winter months, and they are optimistic about continued growth as the weather warms. Programs include swim lessons, water fitness classes and lifeguard certification courses. General Manager Kelly Lepsig said the facility has also been working to incorporate feedback from the community.

“It’s been great. We’re starting to get people in, very positive,” Lepsig said. “We’re starting programs and everything else, getting some ideas and feedback from the community.”

Officials say the goal is to provide opportunities for both beginners and experienced swimmers while maintaining a welcoming environment for families.

Residents can find pool hours, rates and a full list of programming options on the aquatic park’s website, limaaquaticpark.com. The outdoor pool area is expected to open during Memorial Day weekend, marking the start of the summer season.
