LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - Lima Memorial Health System is honoring the commitment of its employees and the generosity of its donors through a special event hosted by the Lima Memorial Foundation.
The event also recognized employees who participated in the internal giving program.
The foundation held its “Ovation” celebration Thursday evening to thank individuals and businesses who have donated between $25,000 and $500,000 or more to support the hospital’s mission. The event also recognized employees who participated in the internal giving program. These contributions help Lima Memorial invest in new technology, services, and equipment to ensure patients receive high-quality care.
"Because of the generosity of our donor community, we are able to invest in new technologies, new equipment, new services, everything that we do is for the benefit of our patients, to ensure they can receive the best care right here at home," said Lashae Burwell, director of the Lima Memorial Foundation.
"We are truly humbled by the generosity of our donors, and really feel it's important to recognize that generosity, because without their philanthropy, a lot of things wouldn't happen in our hospital," said Jan Hawk, chair of the Lima Memorial Foundation Board of Trustees.
