LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – A new ministry is launching in Lima with the goal of helping both people and animals heal from trauma.
Saving Grace Farm Ministry shared its mission Thursday with the Lima Noon Sertoma Club. The ministry plans to rescue abused or neglected horses, rehabilitate them, and connect them with individuals who have also experienced trauma.

“We're about restoring, redeeming, and rescuing people and horses,” said Sarah Metzger, CEO of Saving Grace Farm Ministry. “We’ll also be reaching out to youth, veterans, or others who have gone through emotional trauma. We want to bring those two tools together, show them God’s grace and love, and plant that seed of faith—because that can grow into something amazing and save many lives.”
The ministry hopes to begin accepting horses and visitors by the end of fall. Volunteer applications are available on its website.
