SHAWNEE, Ohio (WLIO) - The Shawnee Township Board of Trustees held a special meeting Friday afternoon to open, review, and award sealed bids for the sale of a pumper tanker fire truck.
The board also took action on the zoning commission's recommendations for proposed changes to the township zoning resolution. Additionally, trustees addressed the work agreement for the position of police chief and voted to amend the Shawnee Township Police Department renewal levy.
"The renewal level levy is for the police department, and it will be running this fall, and it's no new money. It's just going to be renewal for our police department, for our safety services, for our township," said Clark Spieles, Shawnee Township trustee.
The zoning resolution changes were made to help Shawnee Township residents better understand the resolution.
