LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – Businesses along East Spring Street in Lima are inviting the public to enjoy two days of food, entertainment, and family fun.

On Sept. 5 and 6, the area between the Central Business District and Spring and Main will host the Spring Street Jamboree. The event will feature food trucks, activities for all ages, magician Krendl, demonstrations by Soldiers of Honor, pony rides, and three stages of live music across both days. Organizers said the goal is to bring a festival back to downtown Lima and highlight the area’s revitalization.

“I hear it continuously. We've got a year under our belt now being open and the whole Spring and Main, and the amphitheater and Central District, we're pulling from a 10 County area. And so, I'm talking to customers and talking to guests every weekend who are really impressed with the city of Lima right now. And the things that are happening in that quadrant of downtown. The city of Lima has been a great partner. They've done all of the streetscape projects, and have invested, along with private sector, along with the state, has been involved,” said John Heaphy, owner of Spring and Main/Old City Prime.

The Spring Street Jamboree runs Friday, Sept. 5, from 5 to 11 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 6, from noon to 11 p.m., stretching from Spring and Main to the Central District. The event will feature live music, arts, crafts, food, and family-friendly activities. For a full schedule of events, visit Spring and Main’s website
