LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — An event designed to share “ideas worth spreading” is seeking financial support for its 2026 program.
The fourth TEDx Faurot Park event is scheduled for March 14 at the Encore Theater. A lineup of speakers will present on this year’s theme, connections. Their talks will later be uploaded to the TED channel, where some presentations have reached thousands — even more than a million — views.
Organizers say it costs about tens of thousands of dollars to host TEDx Faurot Park, and they are hoping companies and individuals will step forward to help sponsor the community event.

“So TEDx Faurot Park is so important for the Lima community, there's nothing else like it on our stage. The speakers have no corporate agenda, no political agenda, no religious agenda, and no bad science. Everybody gets fact checked before they go on stage. So, what you hear at TEDx Faurot Park, you can believe. So, this year's theme for 2026 is ‘Connection.’ We're looking at the ideas between connecting people, connecting Earth with humanity, connecting in any way possible. We'll have six speakers on our stage. So far, we have 55 applications. I expect many more to come in. I'm hoping we'll get more from the Lima area with people who just have ideas they want to share,” says Aimee Bucher, Ex. Producer TEDx Faurot Park.
