LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – The Lima City Schools has announced that Andre Rudolph will be officially named the new superintendent at a special meeting on April 16th.

Andre Rudolph to be named Superintendent of Lima City Schools

Rudolph was introduced to the public Tuesday night during a “Meet the Candidates” event, along with the other two finalists, Tom Domzalski of East Cleveland City Schools and Darnell Collins, principal of Lima Senior High School.

The Miami University graduate is currently the assistant superintendent of Reynoldsburg City Schools. He has also worked at Cleveland Metropolitan Schools, Euclid City Schools and Warrensville Heights City School.

Rudolph was one of 13 applicants for the position, which will be vacated by current Superintendent Jill Ackerman, who is retiring this summer. Ackerman has served as superintendent for the past 13 years and has spent 37 years with the Lima City School District.
