LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The holidays can be a difficult time for some to make health-smart decisions and Activate Allen County wants to help keep you on track.
It is time for their annual Healthy Families Expo at the Lima Veterans Memorial Civic Center. It's a morning jam-packed with ideas to kick off a healthy holiday season. Just because it's the holidays it doesn't mean you can't make smart healthy choices.
"Thinking about your goals. Thinking about healthy eating, thinking about family togetherness, your mental health, and what you want to accomplish in 2024. I think that's a great thing to start. Not just putting off until January why not start in November? So, join us for the expo and get your healthy holiday season started," said Kayla Monfort, Activate Allen County.
There will be something for everyone in the family. From visiting with Santa and his reindeer to raffle prizes to superheroes. Again the Healthy Family Expo will be at the Veterans Memorial Civic Center, located at 7 Town Square, Lima, OH 45801, on Saturday, November 18th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It's free and the public is encouraged to attend.
