MINSTER, Ohio (WLIO) — Kids at the Minster Library got up close and personal with some wild guests Wednesday afternoon.

"Indiana Wild" stopped by as part of the library's "Color Our World" summer reading program. Children had the chance to learn about animals native to the Midwest — and even see and touch them up close.

Kids meet wild guests at Minster Library

Children had the chance to learn about animals native to the Midwest — and even see and touch them up close.

"Today we had one of our big programs, sponsored by the United Way and McDonald's. This is Spalding, he's an armadillo. Indiana WILD came in, and they do a great job with their presentation. All the children here at the library get to see and pet about seven to ten animals this morning. It's an exciting program," said Jill Barhorst, supervisor of the Minster Library.

If you missed it, don’t worry. "Indiana Wild" is making stops at other Auglaize County libraries.
