CRIDERSVILLE, Ohio (WLIO) - Residents at Otterbein Cridersville had special visitors Wednesday afternoon.

Residents gathered in the community room to visit goats brought to the facility by Goat Country LLC. Each resident was given the opportunity to feed and hold these goats. Organizers say that goats boost serotonin levels, as well as lowering stress hormones. These goat visits are annual through the facility, and get residents excited to interact with baby animals.

"They asked for baby goats. They can't wait for the next time the baby goats come to visit. It's one of the most popular events I think that we hold here at Otterbein," says Camille Frysinger, director of marketing, Otterbein Cridersville Senior Life.

Although the residents had to leave the goats behind, organizers say each person left with a smile on their face.
