Otterbein Cridersville residents try new experiences at Summer Spectacular

Seniors lined up for the chance to try axe throwing and extreme trampolining.

"I have never done it, and it was heavier than I knew it was going to be heavy, but it was heavier than throwing darts, which I have done before. And each time I threw it, I got a lot it got better. And the last one I threw, it didn't it didn't stay in, but it hit number three, and that's that that was good for me," said Marian Grossman.

First-time axe thrower Patsy Ballantine shared her experience. "They didn't give me a stance. They just said, hold it over your head and let it go from the wrist. Humiliating. I did hit the board, though, but it didn't stick. I probably had a bad ax."

"We're offering residents some some activities that they've never done before. It's a great day for everybody to get together. Enjoy the sunshine, enjoy some AX throwing, some extreme trampolining, and just have an amazing time together," said Camille Frysinger, Director of Marketing.

As for the trampolining, the look on the residents' faces said it all. Many of these seniors even tried indoor skydiving just last week. The day also included an outdoor barbecue lunch, adding to the celebration.
