WAPAKONETA, Ohio (WLIO) -Â A little bit of rain didn't stop these businesses from having a good time. Discover Wapakoneta held a spring open house for the shops in downtown Wapak.

As spring approaches, organizers want to welcome the warmer weather with extended shopping hours, face painting and other fun events planned for the weekend. Shoppers from all around took advantage of the extended hours to explore the variety of goods and services the businesses have to offer.
"We love seeing all the different people from all over come downtown Wapakoneta. We have something for everyone here. Super unique town. We've got plant shops, boutiques, antique shopping, food places, ice cream shops, and I'm missing some, but there's just so many. People love the unique Wapak meet-up. They meet up and come down and shop and check it out. All the business owners coming together to make this happen is what it's all about. We all collaborate to make it happen," said Annie Frost, owner of Frost Impressions Boutique & Design.
"So we love to showcase our businesses and to show the general public that may not know what we have in Wapakoneta everything that we have to offer. We love to—if nothing else—love to host a party. So we are all just open and available and have something going on in a lot of the stores," said Lynne Skaggs, co-owner of Casa Chic.
They will be continuing the open house on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
