The staff of the Wapakoneta Waterpark are making hydration and staying cool not only a priority for guests, but for lifeguards as well.

WAPAKONETA, Ohio (WLIO) — The staff of the Wapakoneta Waterpark are making hydration and staying cool not only a priority for guests, but for lifeguards as well. 

"So, we always check on our staff, make sure they bring water, have popsicles for them too, kind of helps cool them down. And yeah, we provide them water, make sure they're cool. We have different shades on each guard stand to make sure they stay cool and out of the heat," said Assistant Manager Callie Sutton.

Wapakoneta Waterpark is open for the 2026 season until August 16.
