The bags were handed out at the Lima Community Church and contained different activities for families to do together for the holidays, including slime, coloring books, and stickers.

The idea behind the bags is to make the big changes surrounding the holiday season a little easier for people with sensory challenges like autism.

"For people with autism, it can be very difficult when your routine has changed," said Tera Viola, executive director of the Autism Life Center. "With everybody being out of school right now over the holidays, we wanted to do something to help the families and kind of just put things in their hands that they can have fun with and do together over the rest of this week."

The organization also accepted donations for their next activity bag giveaway, which they expect to hold this coming spring. You can look for updates on their website or their Facebook page.
