For around 30 years, people have been knocking down the pins to help Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Ohio. Over 30 teams took part in the 2022 Bowl for Kids’ Sake, including local fire and police going head to head in the Battle of the First Responders. The Lima Fire Department had the most points this year taking home the bragging rights. This is one of the Big Brothers Big Sisters biggest fundraisers, and it helps them with their mission to bring local kids and mentors together.

“The money that we raise helps us recruit mentors for our youth. We actually have several children on our waiting list that need bigs. So this fundraiser helps us generate some money so that we can get out there and do recruitment events and go out through the community and try to get volunteers that are actually a big brother or big sister,” says Fran Biaglow of Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Ohio.
