LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Rhodes State College is partnering with the Bradfield Community Center to offer in-demand career programs.
Starting in January, Rhodes State College will be offering a phlebotomy certificate program on-site at Bradfield. It is a chance for anyone wanting to start out in the medical field to take this semester-long class and be certified to get a job as a phlebotomist.
"It's a first step into health care. A lot of time phlebotomists are the first ones that people really encounter when they're in a healthcare setting. You know, so teaching somebody how to do those things and be professional and to take care of patients, it's really important," stated Dawn Bell, Rhodes coordinator of structured phlebotomy program.
There will be an open house informational session at the Bradfield Community Center on Wednesday, November 16th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to learn more about the program.
