A Lima man connected to a shooting incident waived his right to a speedy trial.
Lima police say 19 year-old Jaiquavius Carter is one of two men who fired several rounds at a pedestrian on May 11th near the corner of Elizabeth and West Grand. No one was injured in the shooting. A search warrant led to the arrest of Carter along with 20 year-old Trey Ackles, and 21 year-old Seyoum Lawrence at 128 West McKibben Street. The three men were taken into custody under suspicion of felonious assault.
Carter's trial has been set for October 11th.
